Hello. Here is a very old pruner shears or branch cutter. A little research shows that this tool seems to date back to about 1913. There was also at this time a Screw Steamer called the California built in 1907 and sank and was destroyed by a U-Boat in 1917. Not sure what the connection is with this tool. Perhaps it was made for this ship but certainly named after it. This tool is stamped: The California S.S. & S. It doesn't seem to read & Sons as another tool on Pricetronic reads. Also this one doesn't say USA either so there seems to be 2 different markings for this tool. What is the association with the English(?) ship and this tool? OK ....anyways its at least 100 years old and needs to be in your collection....okay? Thanks. DS
